Sowing calendar October
October is for planting next year. Garlic, winter onions and onion sets go in now and are the first to shoot in spring. Lamb’s lettuce can still be sown while the soil is warm enough. Hardy herbs and perennials use the damp earth to root before the frost – autumn planting establishes far faster in spring than spring planting.
Below you will find every seed in our range that can be sown in October. Add your varieties to the wishlist and you have your own calendar.
