From the beer garden to Asia
In Bavaria the white “Radi”, finely sliced and salted, is part of the traditional snack. In Asia, on the other hand, the mild daikon radish is a staple food. Its use in the kitchen is as varied as the varieties themselves.
Pungent and healthy
Its mustard oils give the radish its typical sharpness and are regarded as aiding digestion. Depending on the variety, it is grown in spring, summer or as a storable winter radish.
