Wie kocht Sarpo Shona?
Sie ist eine mehligkochende bis vorwiegend festkochende Sorte mit rotbrauner Schale und heller Fleischfarbe - gut für Püree, Suppen und Ofenkartoffeln.
Welchen Pflanzabstand empfehlen Sie?
30 bis 35 cm in der Reihe, 60 cm Reihenabstand. Sarpo-Sorten wachsen kräftig und bilden viel Kraut, geben Sie ihnen eher etwas mehr Platz.
Braucht die Sorte Pflanzenschutz?
In aller Regel nicht. Genau dafür wurde sie gezüchtet. Achten Sie trotzdem auf ausreichenden Abstand und luftigen Stand, damit das Laub nach Regen schnell abtrocknet.
Wann wird geerntet?
Sarpo Shona ist eine spätere Sorte, meist ab September. Das Kraut bleibt lange grün - Sie können es zwei Wochen vor der geplanten Ernte abschneiden, damit die Schalen fest werden.
Wie lagere ich die Knollen?
Dunkel, luftig und kühl bei etwa vier bis acht Grad. Sarpo-Sorten haben eine gute Lagerfähigkeit und eine ausgeprägte Keimruhe, halten also lange.
